Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Generator Electrical Technician with expertise in repair and maintenance to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with diesel generators, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical control systems and synchronization panels.

Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical and control faults across various generator models. This includes hands-on work with generator controllers such as Deepsea, ComAp, and other comparable systems. The role also involves programming, configuring, and commissioning new control units as needed.

Further duties include managing synchronization panels by handling wiring, configuration, and conducting thorough testing and commissioning. The technician will also ensure seamless integration of generator control systems with Fire Alarm Panels adhering to Civil Defense regulations pertinent to building safety. Supporting Civil Defense inspections related to generator operations is a crucial part of this position.

Regular preventive maintenance tasks like oil and filter changes, monthly general inspections, and basic servicing must also be performed to keep the generators in optimal working condition.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel generator repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of generator control systems, including synchronization and fault troubleshooting.
• Proficient with programming and commissioning of generator controllers such as Deepsea and ComAp.
• Familiarity with integration of control systems with Fire Alarm Panels in compliance with Civil Defense standards.
• Ability to conduct routine preventive maintenance effectively.
• Preferably holds a valid Qatar driving license.

Additional Requirements

Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) or transferable visa will be given preference. Demonstrated prior experience must be clearly outlined in the CV, especially highlighting work with generator systems and control technologies.
