Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Incharge with hands-on experience in joinery to manage our local and international purchasing processes efficiently. The ideal candidate will handle procurement activities in alignment with project timelines, ensuring all materials and services meet specifications and company standards. This role involves supplier selection, contract negotiation, and coordination with various internal departments to guarantee smooth and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Incharge will be responsible for overseeing the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, and order management. They will maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring factory and project needs, ensure approvals prior to purchasing, and maintain detailed records of purchase orders and contracts. Negotiating cost-effective deals, managing payments in compliance with company policies, and ensuring timely delivery through coordination with suppliers and internal teams are essential duties. Supporting departments with Bill of Quantities (BOQs) preparation and supervising annual maintenance contracts also fall under this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a Diploma/Degree in Materials Management. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant procurement experience, particularly in joinery, is required. Strong communication skills and proficiency in procurement-related software are essential. The candidate should be adept at negotiation and vendor management, committed to quality standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Additional Responsibilities
The role involves maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge, overseeing health and safety training programs, and leading the procurement team. The Procurement Incharge must ensure timely submission of management information system (MIS) reports and comply with supreme council regulations, especially concerning waste disposal and contractor agreements.
