Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a project site in Riyadh. Reporting directly to the Project Manager and MEP Lead, this role focuses on overseeing and executing electrical and mechanical activities within construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and performing quantity take-offs for both electrical and mechanical scopes. You will be reading and interpreting detailed electrical and mechanical drawings, including layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and project specifications.

Execution and supervision of installations related to power systems, lighting, HVAC, piping, plumbing, firefighting, and equipment will form a major part of your role. Managing site preparations such as material planning, manpower allocation, and scheduling to ensure efficient work sequencing will also be required.

Coordinating interdisciplinary electro-mechanical works to avoid clashes and maintain smooth progress is essential. Ensuring all site activities comply with drawings, quality standards, and project requirements will be part of your daily oversight. The role also involves preparing material requisitions, supporting procurement, monitoring work progress and quality, and assisting in testing, commissioning, and handover processes.

Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations along with company policies is crucial. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing detailed site reports, providing progress updates, and contributing to as-built documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required. Candidates should have between 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical site execution, preferably within EPC or construction project environments.

Strong expertise in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs, along with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and related drawings, is necessary. Practical experience in site supervision and execution is expected, along with knowledge of relevant electrical and mechanical codes and standards.

Excellent coordination and communication skills are essential to manage multi-disciplinary teams and site activities effectively. Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred, enhancing your ability to interpret and manage technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in MEP, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects will give candidates an advantage. Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures is also desirable, along with the capability to independently oversee complex site operations.
