Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accountant with at least five years of experience, specifically in the construction or contracting industry. This role is based in Shwaikh, Kuwait, offering a competitive salary range of 550 to 650 KWD. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Arabic and English, hold a valid driver’s license, and be ready to join immediately under Visa 18 Ahli.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing project financials, ensuring accurate cost control, and maintaining efficient billing processes. Key duties include:

• Overseeing project cost management and control.
• Managing progress billing and subcontractor payments.
• Preparing monthly financial statements and maintaining cash flow reports.
• Generating reports such as Work In Progress (WIP), retention, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
• Collaborating closely with project managers and on-site teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of five years accounting experience within the construction or contracting sector.
• Strong expertise in project costing, retention, progress billing, and handling WIP and BOQ reports.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Fluent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Valid driving license, essential for site visits and coordination.

Work Environment

This role is office-based in Shwaikh, with frequent interaction with field teams and project managers. The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic construction industry setting where attention to detail and timely financial reporting are crucial.
