We are seeking a skilled Underground Cable Designer to join our engineering team focused on Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission projects for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). This urgent role offers the opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure projects with a leading utility provider in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing underground cable systems rated between 132 kV and 380 kV. Duties include route engineering, ampacity calculations, thermal analysis, and preparing joint and termination designs. The role involves selecting appropriate installation methods such as direct burial, duct bank, or trenchless techniques like horizontal directional drilling (HDD) in accordance with project requirements and SEC standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in designing underground cable systems for 132 kV / 380 kV EHV projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company standards and guidelines.
• Expertise in route engineering, cable ampacity calculations, and thermal performance assessments.
• Hands-on experience with cable jointing and termination design.
• Familiarity with different underground cable installation methods including direct burial, duct banks, and trenchless solutions.
• Previous involvement in SEC or other GCC utility projects is highly preferred.
