Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team in Mohandeseen, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of solid experience in accounting, treasury management, and financial reporting. This role involves managing daily cash and bank transactions, handling accounts receivable and payable, inventory control, VAT compliance, and preparing financial reports to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The General Accountant will oversee multiple accounting functions including:

• Managing and reconciling cash transactions to ensure accuracy in daily recordings.
• Overseeing bank transactions and maintaining proper documentation of all bank movements.
• Preparing daily treasury reports to provide financial insight.
• Handling accounts receivable responsibilities such as customer collections, tracking outstanding invoices, and timely follow-ups with clients.
• Issuing daily delivery orders accurately to customers.
• Controlling inventory by monitoring stock levels and recording daily inventory movements.
• Processing accounts payable by issuing checks to suppliers and managing supplier records to ensure prompt payments.
• Maintaining accurate data entry for all transactions including cash, bank, supplier, and inventory movements using Excel.
• Generating daily cash reports along with periodic financial statements requested by management.
• Ensuring compliance with electronic invoicing standards and VAT regulations, including preparing and filing VAT returns.
• Recording daily journal entries and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Proficiency in Excel for data entry and financial reporting.
• Understanding of inventory management within a financial context.
• Familiarity with VAT compliance and electronic invoicing requirements in the UAE.
• Ability to prepare and review financial documents accurately.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
