Reef-Hail Fish Farming, a pioneering inland aquaculture startup based in Hail, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a skilled Aquaculture Farm Manager. Specializing initially in Tilapia production using Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), the company emphasizes sustainability, high-quality output, and efficient farm management. This position offers an excellent chance to lead and expand farm operations in a rapidly developing sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including feeding, monitoring fish health, and managing harvesting activities. Maintaining accurate records and reports is essential to track performance and optimize processes. Operating and maintaining the RAS infrastructure and cooling systems with a focus on energy efficiency will fall under your supervision.

Monitoring critical water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonia (NH₃), nitrite (NO₂), pH, and temperature is vital. You will establish alarm thresholds and response protocols to ensure optimal living conditions for the fish. Efforts to improve feed conversion ratio (FCR), minimize waste, and reduce mortality rates are also key objectives. Most importantly, you will train and lead the farm staff while enforcing strict biosecurity and safety standards to protect the farm and its personnel.

Regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as FCR, survival rates, and cost per kilogram will support data-driven improvements and operational decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aquaculture, Marine Science, Fisheries, or a related discipline. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of practical experience in aquaculture, preferably with hands-on expertise in managing RAS environments.

Familiarity with aeration, filtration, and cooling systems especially adapted for hot climates is necessary to maintain water quality and fish health. Strong leadership skills and operational discipline are expected to manage teams effectively and drive sustainable farm growth. Candidates must be open to relocating to Hail to work on-site.
