Job Overview

A reputable company in the industrial sector in Kuwait is looking for a skilled Logistics Assistant who will also manage data entry tasks and a Logistics Coordinator specializing in shipment clearance. This dual role requires efficient handling of delivery documentation, coordination of shipments, and managing customs clearance processes to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Assistant, your primary tasks will include preparing sales invoices and delivery orders, coordinating delivery schedules with drivers, tracking online order shipments, and maintaining accurate data in the ERP or accounting software. Additionally, you will generate basic delivery reports to support operational transparency.

In your role as a Logistics Coordinator for shipment clearance, you will oversee the end-to-end clearance process of sea, air, and land shipments. Responsibilities include visiting customs offices, ports, airports, and land borders to manage clearance procedures, preparing and submitting Bayan declarations along with related customs documents, and liaising with customs brokers and shipping agents to expedite shipments.

You will also follow up with government authorities such as the EPA, Municipality, Industry, and Health departments to secure necessary approvals, collect delivery orders from shipping lines and airlines, and coordinate with transporters and drivers to ensure shipments reach their intended destinations.

Maintaining and organizing clearance documentation and providing basic shipment reports upon request are also part of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience using ERP or accounting systems for data entry and invoice management.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities to manage delivery schedules and shipment clearance efficiently.
• Familiarity with customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory follow-ups.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent visits to various field locations including ports and governmental offices.
• Good communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders such as customs agents, transporters, and government officials.

Work Environment

This position involves a combination of office-based and fieldwork, requiring regular visits to customs offices, ports, airports, and ministries. Candidates should be prepared for occasional extended working hours during urgent shipment clearances.
