Job Overview

Reviive Cafe is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees and teas, while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work flexible shifts, and a passion for creating outstanding drinks and customer experiences. Compensation includes a combination of salary and tips.

Key Responsibilities

As a Barista at Reviive Cafe, your duties will include:

• Welcoming customers as they arrive and providing them with our drinks menu
• Answering questions about beverage ingredients and offering personalized recommendations
• Taking orders accurately, paying close attention to specific preferences such as coffee blends, dairy, and sugar options
• Preparing beverages precisely according to established recipes
• Serving drinks alongside food items like cookies, pastries, and muffins
• Handling payments efficiently, whether by cash or credit card
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout your shift
• Ensuring a steady stock of clean mugs and plates is available
• Checking that coffee brewing equipment is functioning properly and reporting any issues promptly
• Following all health and safety guidelines rigorously
• Gathering and communicating customer feedback to management and suggesting potential new menu items

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role such as Waiter/Waitress
• Strong hands-on familiarity with coffee brewing equipment and techniques
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food service
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic math skills to manage transactions
• Ability to understand and respond to customer preferences thoughtfully
• Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
• A high school diploma is required; additional relevant training is advantageous
