Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and certified NDT Level III Engineer to join a significant Oil & Gas project based in Haradh, Saudi Arabia. This critical role involves managing and enhancing all non-destructive testing procedures on-site, ensuring adherence to Saudi Aramco standards as well as international safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will serve as the technical authority for NDT procedures, including radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), penetrant testing (PT), visual testing (VT), and advanced techniques such as phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and time of flight diffraction (TOFD). You will actively support field operations by offering expert guidance to Level I and II technicians, addressing complex inspection challenges, and maintaining strict quality compliance by reviewing and approving final NDT reports.
In addition, you will coordinate closely with clients like Saudi Aramco and third-party inspectors, leading audits and ensuring complete accuracy and compliance of testing activities. You are also expected to oversee the training and certification processes for project NDT personnel and stay current with innovations in NDT technology to improve inspection methods.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid ASNT Level III or ISO 9712 (PCN) Level III certification covering RT, UT, MT, and PT is mandatory. Certifications in PAUT and TOFD provide a strong advantage.
- Prior Saudi Aramco approval with a valid SAP CBT pass and SAP number is highly preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in non-destructive testing within the Oil & Gas, pressure vessel, or pipeline sectors, including a minimum of 3 years in a Level III Engineer or supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written, capable of producing detailed technical reports and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to work in challenging site conditions and reside within project camp accommodation in Haradh.
