Job Overview

We are currently seeking a detail-focused female Accountant, preferably of Philippine nationality, to join our Bahrain office. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and maintaining compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 5 to 8 years of experience, particularly those familiar with the trading and supply chain sectors and proficient in accounting software such as Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks, or Xero.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of accounting duties including:

  • Managing all company accounting transactions and ensuring accuracy.
  • Tracking payments involving both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing budget forecasts and comprehensive financial plans.
  • Processing tax payments and preparing returns in line with statutory requirements.
  • Publishing timely financial statements reflecting the company’s performance.
  • Executing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Reconciling accounts payable and receivable regularly.
  • Coordinating timely bank payments and conducting account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining balance sheets as well as profit and loss statements.
  • Generating reports on financial health, liquidity, and cash flow.
  • Auditing financial transactions and related documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial data and performing backup procedures when needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and accounting standards.

Requirements and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
  • Between 5 and 8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Prior experience in the trading or supply chain industry is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in using Zoho or similar accounting software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and managing multiple legal entities.
  • Solid understanding of accounting regulations including GAAP or SFAS.
  • Proficiency with advanced MS Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
  • Strong familiarity with general ledger operations.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding skills in reporting and maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing time effectively.
  • Experience handling confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Strong data entry and record keeping capabilities.
