Operations Manager – Breakfast & Bakery Restaurant
Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the breakfast and bakery restaurant to ensure smooth service, consistent food quality, cost control, and high customer satisfaction. This role focuses on operational efficiency, team performance, and achieving sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
Oversee daily restaurant and bakery operations, ensuring smooth opening, service, and closing procedures
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and service consistency
Monitor peak breakfast hours and manage staffing to maintain fast and efficient service
Team Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen, bakery, and front-of-house staff
Set performance standards and conduct regular staff evaluations
Motivate teams to maintain a positive work culture and high productivity
Handle staff issues, attendance, and disciplinary actions when needed
Financial & Cost Control
Control food, bakery, and labor costs to meet budget targets
Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and POS reports
Reduce waste, manage portion control, and improve operational efficiency
Support pricing strategies and promotions in coordination with management
Inventory & Suppliers
Oversee inventory levels for bakery ingredients, breakfast items, and packaging
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and cost efficiency
Conduct regular stock counts and minimize shortages or overstock
Quality, Hygiene & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and municipality regulations
Maintain cleanliness standards across kitchen, bakery, storage, and dining areas
Prepare for inspections and address any compliance issues immediately
Customer Experience
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
Monitor online reviews and take corrective actions when needed
Ensure brand standards and guest experience are consistently delivered
Reporting & Improvement
Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports
Analyze sales trends and operational challenges
Implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Restaurant Manager (breakfast, caf?, or bakery preferred)
Strong knowledge of food & bakery operations and service workflows
Experience in cost control, inventory management, and team leadership
Ability to work early mornings and during peak breakfast hours
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Preferred Skills
Experience with POS systems and inventory software
Understanding of local food safety regulations
