Description

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and support accurate financial and managerial reporting. The role suits someone comfortable working across operational businesses, including manufacturing / assembly environments, with clear thinking and strong cost analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Bookkeeping
• Maintain complete books of accounts, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Handle invoicing, collections, payments, receivables, and payables
• Track cash flow and prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Maintain organized financial records for management review and audits

VAT & Compliance (Bahrain)
• Prepare and file VAT returns in line with Bahrain NBR regulations
• Maintain VAT documentation, input/output reconciliation, and audit trails
• Support external auditors and regulatory inspections

Managerial & Cost Accounting (Important)
• Perform managerial accounting for operational businesses
• Prepare cost breakdowns (materials, labor, overheads)
• Support manufacturing / assembly cost analysis (e.g., auto or motorcycle plant)
• Calculate and monitor local value addition (35% rule):
• Local labor
• Local services
• Utilities
• Rent & overheads
• Imported vs locally sourced components
• Assist management with pricing, break-even analysis, and margin tracking

Systems & Reporting
• Work with accounting software such as Zoho, Tally, Odoo, or similar
• Maintain Excel-based models for:
• Cost sheets
• Value-added calculations
• Monthly performance tracking
• Support multi-company or multi-project accounting where required

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (Bahrain experience preferred)
• Good working knowledge of:
• VAT (Bahrain)
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to understand operational and manufacturing-style businesses

Preferred (Strong Advantage)
• Experience with manufacturing, assembly plants, or cost accounting
• Familiarity with value-added calculations (local content / 35% rule)
• Experience handling multiple companies or projects
• Immediate or short-notice availability

Salary: BD 250 – 350, based on experience and capability
