Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Officer, you will manage all aspects of procurement, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with company standards. Your duties will include sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, maintaining updated vendor records, and collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams to anticipate procurement needs. Additionally, you will conduct market analysis, recommend sourcing strategies, and utilize ERP systems such as Oracle, Sage, or SAP to streamline procurement workflows. Regular reporting on procurement performance and supplier metrics will also be an important part of your role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a CIPS Diploma considered an advantage. A minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, particularly with maintenance or spare parts, is essential. Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are highly valued. Proficiency in English communication and familiarity with ERP software like Oracle, Sage, or SAP will help you succeed in this role. You should be able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
