Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructures supporting enterprise or industrial environments. This role demands expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, network security, and high-availability systems to ensure continuous performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will be tasked with configuring, monitoring, and managing network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs. Key duties include:

• Designing and maintaining network infrastructure for enterprise or industrial settings
• Managing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking elements including VLANs, routing protocols, and IP addressing schemes
• Configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VPN connections, and load balancers
• Implementing network security measures and access controls to safeguard digital assets
• Establishing network redundancy and failover mechanisms to guarantee high availability
• Conducting regular network performance monitoring and resolving connectivity or latency issues
• Planning upgrades, patches, and capacity enhancements as necessary
• Collaborating closely with system administrators, security teams, and application support
• Maintaining detailed network documentation and diagrams for operational transparency
• Participating in incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive strategy development

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience in network management within enterprise or industrial contexts. Essential qualifications and skills include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Strong practical knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking including routing, switching, and VLAN configuration
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
• In-depth understanding of network redundancy, failover techniques, and cybersecurity best practices
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network security technologies
• Familiarity with VPN technologies such as site-to-site and remote access
• Experience using network monitoring and management tools

Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent credentials, which enhance candidates’ expertise in network solutions.

This position requires someone who can work independently and collaborate effectively within teams. The ability to perform under pressure in critical environments is vital. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, accompanied by good communication and documentation skills, are important to succeed in this role.
