Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled General Accountant to join our finance team in Dammam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchase and invoice settlements, general accounting, asset management, as well as physical inventory and asset verification. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to support internal controls and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt notes to ensure timely and accurate payments. They will also reconcile supplier statements and manage outstanding payables by preparing timely payment schedules. Coordination with Procurement and Warehouse teams on invoice-related matters is essential.

In addition, the accountant will maintain the General Ledger with accurate and timely journal entries, perform monthly account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintaining comprehensive ledger reports and supporting documentation is also part of the role.

Asset management duties include updating the Fixed Asset Register, recording acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and calculating depreciation. The candidate will be responsible for proper asset documentation, monitoring movements, and maintaining accompanying records.

Furthermore, the role involves planning and overseeing annual physical asset counts as well as periodic verification of inventory and fixed assets. Any discrepancies identified between physical counts and accounting records must be investigated and reported with recommendations provided to management.

Supporting internal and external audits through the maintenance of proper filing and record retention is a critical part of ensuring compliance and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
• Between 25 and 35 years of age.
• 5 to 7 years of proven experience in accounting.
• Possession of a valid Saudi driving license.
• Open to candidates of any nationality.
