Job Overview

The Logistics and Procurement Executive plays a critical role in managing the company’s supply chain operations, ensuring efficient sourcing and delivery of goods. This position focuses on negotiating with international suppliers, handling purchase orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations in a dynamic trading environment. The main objective is to reduce costs and transit times while maintaining product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves several core duties, including sourcing and procurement by identifying dependable suppliers, requesting and comparing quotes, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders.

Managing supplier relationships is essential to assess vendor performance in areas such as delivery accuracy, product quality, and cost efficiency to sustain a strong supply network.

Coordinating logistics involves working closely with shipping lines and freight forwarders for sea, air, or land transport, optimizing routes and shipping expenses.

The executive is responsible for preparing and verifying crucial shipping documentation like Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists to facilitate smooth customs clearance and ensure regulatory compliance.

Additionally, tracking shipments in real time, resolving delays, and collaborating with the warehouse team to confirm accurate receipt of inventory are key components of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have between 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or shipping, preferably within trading or import/export businesses.

An in-depth understanding of Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, and EXW, along with thorough knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international shipping documentation, is necessary.

Strong negotiation capabilities, excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities under pressure, and proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, as well as advanced Excel skills, are expected.
