Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Designer to join our team locally in Bahrain. This role involves designing and developing functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture for both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conceptualizing ideas, preparing detailed production plans, and collaborating with manufacturers to bring designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

The Furniture Designer will be responsible for transforming client briefs and market trends into innovative furniture designs. Daily tasks include:

• Developing creative concepts and mood boards that align with client needs.
• Creating precise 2D and 3D drafts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max.
• Selecting suitable materials like wood, metal, plastics, and textiles while considering cost and durability.
• Building and testing prototypes to ensure comfort, structural integrity, and manufacturability.
• Working closely with production teams and craftspeople to maintain design quality throughout manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as SolidWorks, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, joinery techniques, and material costs.
• Strong creative problem-solving abilities with focus on ergonomics and spatial design.
• Ability to manage project timelines, including an 8-hour workday with possible overtime.

Employment Details

This position offers a competitive salary range from BHD 300 to BHD 350 depending on experience. The company provides visa sponsorship, accommodation, and transport. The work schedule includes one day off per week, with calls regarding the role accepted between 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
