Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Kitchen Equipment and Maintenance Engineer for a leading project in Bahrain. This role is ideal for an Arab national with a strong background in managing commercial kitchen equipment projects. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of food service equipment installations. This includes preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and bills of quantities (BOQ). The role requires close collaboration with sales, after-sales, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless project progress.

Strong coordination with consultants, architects, clients, suppliers, and contractors is essential to finalize designs, meet technical requirements, and guarantee timely delivery and installation of kitchen equipment. The engineer will also manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to align with the set objectives.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant local health, fire, and safety regulations is vital. Additionally, conducting site inspections, managing snag lists, and overseeing handover documentation are key duties. Providing technical support during the tendering and procurement stages will also be expected, along with mentoring junior engineers and support staff to build team expertise.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end project execution, including sales, design, BOQ preparation, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Strong project management and site supervision capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in GCC countries is required.
  • Familiarity with international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Background working with hospitality, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a total salary package ranging from BD 1500 to BD 2000. Additional benefits include a yearly flight ticket, family status allowance, a company car, and a mobile phone SIM card, making this a comprehensive offer for qualified professionals.
