A leading construction firm in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a seasoned Chief Accountant to lead their finance department. This role offers a chance to oversee comprehensive accounting operations in a vibrant and fast-moving construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Key duties include:

• Supervising the preparation of final accounts, financial statements, and budgets
• Leading, mentoring, and managing the accounting team to uphold high standards
• Developing and maintaining effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborating with senior management on financial planning, forecasts, and strategic initiatives
• Ensuring proper use and management of accounting software and ERP systems
• Coordinating and supporting audit processes with external auditors as necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industries
• Strong expertise in final accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams
• Proficiency in accounting software tools and advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
