Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Water Treatment Technician to join our expanding team in Bahrain. This role offers an excellent chance to advance your career in the water treatment and desalination industry while working with cutting-edge systems and technology.

Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of water treatment and reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Duties include upkeep of softeners, multimedia filters, dosing systems, membrane replacement, and cleaning. Regular water quality testing such as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, chlorine, and hardness measurement will be required.

Additional mechanical tasks involve installing and repairing PVC, UPVC, HDPE, PPR, and GI piping systems, overseeing pump installations and maintenance, valve repairs, and tank and pipeline upkeep. Detecting and fixing any leaks is also part of the responsibility.

On the electrical front, the role includes basic troubleshooting, inspecting motors, pumps, and control panels, checking sensors and instruments, and assisting with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) maintenance.

The technician will also handle troubleshooting to diagnose and fix equipment issues, respond to emergency breakdowns, conduct preventive maintenance, and prepare detailed service and maintenance reports while ensuring all operations comply with safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in water treatment plants, particularly RO systems, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, and various piping systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit and willing to work across different project sites.
• A valid driving license is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of Reverse Osmosis plants.
• Experience with water softeners and filtration systems.
• Handling pumps, pressure vessels, and industrial plumbing.
• Basic electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The monthly salary ranges from BHD 120 to 220 depending on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
