Fatorah is looking for a skilled Outpatient Medical Coder to join their team based in Sharjah, UAE. This role requires candidates with solid experience in UAE healthcare coding, particularly in outpatient settings, and thorough knowledge of insurance guidelines. The position involves working on rotating shifts, including nights.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and accurately coding outpatient medical records, including diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. The role ensures full compliance with UAE insurance rules and healthcare regulations. Responsibilities also include verifying documentation accuracy before coding submission, working closely with physicians and insurance teams to resolve queries, maintaining high coding quality and productivity standards, and identifying discrepancies to aid claim optimization and prevent denials. Staying current with updates in coding standards, payer requirements, and compliance guidelines is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Mandatory CPC or CCS certification
• 1 to 2 years of outpatient medical coding experience within the UAE healthcare system
• Strong command of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and claims processing
• Knowledgeable about UAE healthcare regulations and insurance payer rules
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Proficient communication skills in English and Tagalog
