Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cost Control Engineer to lead project control functions within extensive Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will supervise cost management, scheduling, and risk mitigation efforts, working closely with teams across engineering, procurement, and construction. This role offers the opportunity to ensure projects stay on time and within budget while enhancing performance tracking and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, with a focus on critical path monitoring. You will handle budgeting activities, forecast updates, and tracking cost performance while managing any variances effectively. Implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) and developing risk management plans will be integral to maintaining project health. Additionally, prepare clear progress reports, dashboards, and KPI updates to keep both management and clients informed. Close coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders will ensure alignment with project goals. Mentorship of junior project control staff and adoption of best practices are also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in project control within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proficiency with scheduling and cost control software such as Primavera P6 and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management, risk mitigation, and full project lifecycle processes.
• Excellent leadership abilities, communication proficiency, and analytical thinking skills.

Preferred Certifications

Certifications like PMP, PSP, PRINCE2, or specialized Earned Value Management credentials will be considered advantageous and support your candidacy.
