Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our hosting support team managing our infrastructure servers and services. This role involves maintaining and developing a large-scale server farm predominantly running Linux. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with solid mid-level to advanced experience supporting extensive Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying new systems, performing regular maintenance, upgrades, and replacements, and enhancing server security through hardening techniques. Additionally, they will focus on improving long-term system performance and provide support for networking equipment within the infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Proven experience administering Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of control panels and services such as cPanel, Apache, Plesk, ProFTPd, MySQL, PHP, Sendmail, Exim, SSHd, Qmail, Qpopper, BIND, Nagios, and openNMS.
• Strong background managing web and mail servers with experience tuning SpamAssassin.
• Scripting proficiency in Perl, PHP, and Bash.
• In-depth understanding of core networking technologies including TCP/IP, LDAP, and DNS (BIND).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms and AWS certification will be considered an advantage for this role.
