Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) to join our team. This role involves the comprehensive management of medical gas system projects within healthcare environments, including hospitals and clinics. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of healthcare engineering standards and a dedication to delivering safe, compliant, and reliable medical gas infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of MGPS projects, which includes system design, installation oversight, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. Key duties include:

• Designing and reviewing medical gas pipeline systems tailored for healthcare settings.
• Creating detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and calculations.
• Overseeing installation and conducting thorough testing and validation to ensure system integrity.
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Performing regular site inspections and quality control throughout project phases.
• Collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors, and hospital engineering teams.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to medical gas systems efficiently.
• Preparing comprehensive project reports, including maintenance schedules and operational procedures.
• Supporting preventive and corrective maintenance for existing MGPS installations.
• Adhering to strict safety and quality standards in every aspect of the work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of practical experience working with Medical Gas Pipeline Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as HTM, NFPA 99, ISO 7396, or equivalent.
• Prior experience with healthcare facility engineering projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software tools.
• Strong project management and coordination capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Professional engineering certification or registration is considered an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on hospital construction or healthcare infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with medical gas alarm systems, manifolds, vacuum systems, and related equipment.
• Hands-on experience with testing and commissioning medical gas systems.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
