Job Overview

We are actively seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our expanding team in Bahrain. This key role demands an experienced professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the construction and contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will lead comprehensive financial operations including preparation of accurate financial statements, management information systems (MIS), and detailed management reports. You will be responsible for budgeting, effective cash flow management, cost control activities, and ensuring timely monthly financial closings. Additionally, the role involves coordinating audits and ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance. Monitoring project-specific costing and profitability to support strategic business decisions is also a crucial aspect of this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is essential.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA are highly preferred.
• An MBA in Finance or a relevant Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
• At least 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
• Industry-specific experience with at least 3 years in the construction and contracting field.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, audit processes, and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Proficiency in using the Tally accounting system along with advanced Excel skills.
