We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Officer with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the procurement field, specifically within Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in road construction or infrastructure projects and be well-versed in procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure developments while working closely with project teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle for road construction projects. This includes identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring the prompt delivery of required materials and equipment. You will also maintain comprehensive procurement records and coordinate closely with project and site teams to align procurement activities with project needs.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement roles, with mandatory experience working within Oman.
• Specialized knowledge or background in road construction or infrastructure development is highly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of procurement processes, vendor assessment, and contract negotiation strategies.
• Proven ability to efficiently source materials, equipment, and services that meet project specifications and timelines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Work Environment and Location

This position is based in Oman, concentrated on the road construction and infrastructure sector. The role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, subcontractors, and project management teams, ensuring the smooth flow of procurement activities in a dynamic environment.
