Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Asset Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar on a permanent basis. This role involves overseeing and managing the entire asset portfolio, which includes vehicles, machinery, equipment, and other operational resources. The ideal candidate will develop efficient asset management strategies aimed at boosting utilization and minimizing operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

The Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and timely inspection of assets, along with planning for replacements and upgrades. Maintaining precise records, inventories, and tracking systems is essential. You will also monitor asset performance, control costs, handle depreciation calculation, and manage asset lifecycles effectively.

Collaboration is key, as you will coordinate regularly with operations, transportation, warehouse, and maintenance teams to align asset management with organizational needs. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements also forms a crucial part of this role. Additionally, preparing detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations for management will be required.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must have a proven track record within the Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, or Supply Chain industries. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in asset management, is necessary. Strong expertise in fleet management, logistics assets, warehouse equipment, and operational resources is expected.

Competence in asset lifecycle management, utilization monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and cost optimization is essential to excel in this role. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong analytical and reporting abilities, along with effective leadership skills. Proficiency with asset management software and Microsoft Office tools is also required.

Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
