Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Package Engineer to join a prominent project based in Saudi Arabia. This one-year contract role involves managing and overseeing Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) packages from construction through commissioning and final handover. The position requires close coordination with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Package Engineer will be responsible for managing assigned E&I packages, ensuring that installation, hookup, and construction activities align with IFC drawings and approved procedures. This includes continuous monitoring of construction progress, material availability, and addressing site constraints as they arise. You will serve as the primary liaison among engineering, QA/QC, HSE teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain smooth coordination.
The role also involves supporting system integration, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities. Ensuring the readiness of the Permanent Monitoring and Control Center (PMCC) for commissioning is critical, along with overseeing inspections, certifications, and acceptance testing to guarantee system functionality and effective handover. Additionally, you will coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings, test reports, and completion dossiers, playing an active role in project closeout documentation and record preparation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering role, preferably within large-scale projects involving Saudi Aramco or similar clients.
- Proven ability to manage all phases of E&I package delivery from construction to commissioning.
- Strong coordination skills with experience interfacing with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Ability to monitor construction progress and address site challenges effectively.
- Experience supporting SAT, commissioning, and system integration processes.
- Attention to detail in ensuring documentation accuracy including as-built drawings and test reports.
Work Environment and Contract Details
This opportunity is located in Saudi Arabia with a contract duration of one year, with potential extensions based on project requirements. Please note that this position is offered on a single status basis, meaning family sponsorship is not included.
