Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant focusing on Receivables to join our finance team. This role involves managing accounts receivable processes, reconciling customer accounts, and collaborating closely with the collections department to optimize cash flow and credit management. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance or accounting, specifically within the FMCG trading sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will handle a variety of tasks including generating rebate credit notes and detailed account statements. Maintaining accurate account reconciliations and producing aging reports is essential. Regularly reviewing customer credit limits, terms, and payment behavior to monitor financial risk is a key function. You will work alongside the collections team to evaluate client accounts, credit histories, and design better repayment plans. Additional duties include bank reconciliations across cash, cheque, and bank transfers, as well as recording necessary journal entries. The role also requires verifying Know Your Customer (KYC) documents and setting up customer codes within the ERP system. Addressing sales team queries and investigating any discrepancies in accounts completes the scope of responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of proven experience in a receivables accounting role, preferably within the FMCG trading industry.
• Strong numeracy skills with proficiency in bookkeeping software and typing.
• Familiarity with JDE accounting software is a significant advantage.
• Ability to join immediately is highly preferred.
