Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Planning Engineer to join a reputable construction firm based in Bahrain. This role is ideal for professionals with 2 to 3 years of experience in construction and project planning, particularly those focused on landscaping and pools. The position offers a competitive salary, negotiable based on experience, with a standard work schedule of 8 hours per day for 26 days each month.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Planning Engineer, you will support senior planners in the effective management of project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Your responsibilities include maintaining and updating project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), monitoring daily site progress against baseline programs, and preparing detailed progress reports such as S-curves and dashboards.

Additionally, you will assist in identifying project delays and bottlenecks, analyzing the critical path, and proposing recovery strategies to keep projects on track. Coordination across different teams—including site execution, engineering, and procurement—is a vital part of your role to ensure timely delivery of materials and shop drawings. You will also contribute to optimizing the use of manpower, equipment, and construction resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in construction project planning, with a focus on landscaping and pool projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling software is essential.
• Strong ability to analyze project schedules, monitor progress, and generate comprehensive reports.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration among different project teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
