Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a professional with hands-on experience in sushi preparation, capable of creating authentic Japanese dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. Candidates must hold a valid and transferrable Iqama to be eligible for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

The Sushi Maker will be responsible for preparing a variety of sushi such as maki rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other specialty dishes. This includes expertly handling raw fish and seafood, seasoning sushi rice to perfection, and ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and stored correctly according to food safety guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sushi station is essential. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, assisting with ordering supplies, and ensuring that all sushi items meet presentation and quality standards before reaching customers. Collaboration with kitchen and service teams is crucial for smooth daily operations, as well as contributing ideas for new sushi recipes and menu enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Maker in a professional kitchen
• Deep understanding of Japanese cuisine with strong sushi preparation skills
• Excellent knife handling and precision slicing abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene best practices
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Flexible availability, including willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Male candidates of any nationality with valid and transferrable Iqama
