Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to take on the acting Project Manager role for construction projects based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position involves leading project execution activities across multiple sites, ensuring smooth coordination between clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on construction experience within Saudi Arabia and demonstrate strong leadership and project management capabilities to drive timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction projects. Your duties will include:

• Managing and supporting the execution of ongoing projects on multiple sites
• Serving as the principal contact point for project coordination among clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments
• Monitoring project schedules, manpower deployment, material readiness, and onsite progress
• Supervising site activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Preparing detailed project reports, progress updates, meeting minutes, and necessary documentation
• Coordinating procurement processes, timely material deliveries, and subcontractor services
• Identifying potential project risks, delays, and technical challenges, and facilitating their resolution
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies at all times
• Supporting project planning, progress tracking, invoice coordination, and project closeout work
• Managing client communication and assisting with management reporting requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• At least 5 years of hands-on construction project experience within Saudi Arabia (note: candidates with over 6 years of experience need not apply)
• Proven ability to independently handle site execution and project coordination tasks
• Capability to assume acting Project Manager responsibilities when required
• Strong understanding of construction operations and project management methodologies
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet pressing project deadlines
• Possession of a valid Saudi driving license is preferred
• Transferable Iqama is an advantage
