Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network and Infrastructure Security Consultant to join a leading IT team based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network and security systems across diverse vendor environments. This role involves working within large data center operations to address complex network challenges and strengthen organizational security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of various network and security products. You will analyze and resolve advanced networking issues, particularly those impacting IP core networks and routing convergence. Managing firewalls, VPNs, proxy systems, and endpoint security solutions will also be integral to your daily tasks. The role demands a proactive approach to diagnosing issues, designing secure infrastructures, and implementing advanced persistent threat (APT) solutions effectively.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with multivendor network and security products including firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortigate), IPS, F5 Load Balancers and WAF, Bluecoat proxy, and Radius authentication.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as TCP/IP fundamentals, forward and reverse proxy mechanisms, endpoint security tools (antivirus, DLP, NAC), and VPN tunneling protocols (site-to-site, remote access, SSL VPN).
• Proficiency in APT solutions like SSLvA, Sandbox, Packet Broker, and Data Loss Prevention systems.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in network and security infrastructure with a demonstrated ability to design and implement multi-vendor firewall solutions and security frameworks. Experience with endpoint security management and advanced threat prevention technologies is essential. Strong analytical and communication skills are required to translate complex technical issues into clear action plans. Certifications such as CCIE or CISSP are highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
