Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Architect with a strong background in hotels, leisure, residential, public buildings, and sports facilities. The successful candidate will lead architectural teams and oversee projects from conceptual design through to construction, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget and deadlines. This role requires extensive experience in managing complex mixed-use developments and collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and contractors in the Riyadh market.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Principal Architect will manage multiple aspects of architectural projects, including:

• Leading and supervising a technical team throughout project phases
• Handling front-end design and detailed planning
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, employers, and various stakeholders
• Overseeing concept, preliminary, and detailed design documentation
• Coordinating the work of external 3D visualisers and ensuring high-quality presentations
• Contributing to bid proposals and client presentations
• Preparing feasibility studies and design proposals aligning with client requirements
• Participating in value engineering exercises to optimize project outcomes
• Managing planning and building control applications
• Supervising preparation of tender documents and contracts
• Providing construction support including site inspections and problem resolution
• Ensuring projects adhere to financial budgets and timelines
• Collaborating with contractors and industry professionals to drive project success
• Overseeing project delivery from inception to completion

Required Skills and Experience

• Registered Architect with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably accredited in the UK, USA, or Australia
• Proven leadership experience managing design teams on large-scale mixed-use developments
• Comprehensive knowledge of design, new build processes, and Middle East building codes
• Strong client-facing skills with experience liaising with diverse stakeholders
• Hands-on site experience including design and build project delivery
• Currently residing in Saudi Arabia

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
• Experience working on architectural projects within the Middle East
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as SketchUp, Revit, and AutoCAD
