Job Overview

Combined Group Contracting Co. (K.S.C.) is looking to hire a skilled Quantity Surveyor specializing in mechanical works. This role focuses on managing quantity measurement, cost control, and variation handling for mechanical construction projects, particularly those involving piping and pipeline systems in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs and preparing bills of quantities related to mechanical scopes. Regular site measurements will be conducted to verify installed amounts of piping, pipelines, and supports. Monitoring daily and weekly mechanical progress quantities is essential to keep projects on track.

Cost control is a critical aspect, including verifying contractor invoices, monthly progress claims, and ensuring budget adherence. The Quantity Surveyor will also identify and prepare variation orders and claims connected to mechanical works.

Maintaining detailed records of all measured quantities and material usage is required to support project transparency. Monthly quantity and cost reports will be prepared and submitted for management review. Assistance with final accounts and variation submissions will also be part of the role.

Coordination with Mechanical, QA/QC, and Planning teams is necessary to guarantee measurement accuracy, along with participation in joint measurements with client representatives. Ensuring all work complies with contract conditions and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) / Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) procedures is mandatory.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years within the oil and gas construction field. Proven expertise working on piping and pipeline projects for KOC, KNPC, KIPIC, or JO is essential to meet the project’s standards and requirements.
