AREC Engineering Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role demands an experienced professional with a strong background in consultancy projects within the UAE construction industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing on-site construction activities and ensuring projects progress smoothly while adhering to all technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Resident Engineer will be responsible for managing and supervising daily site operations, conducting thorough inspections, and ensuring that the project execution aligns with the approved drawings and specifications. You will act as the key liaison among clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication and resolve any site-related issues promptly. Maintaining site safety, monitoring quality controls, and ensuring compliance with local authority requirements form a vital part of this role. Additionally, reviewing shop drawings and tracking site progress will be essential functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, particularly with engineering consultancy firms in Dubai. A thorough understanding of UAE construction regulations and government authority requirements is essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD and Revit, is required to efficiently review and manage technical drawings. Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities are necessary to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders on site. The position requires the candidate to possess a valid UAE driving license and to be based in Dubai.
