Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in joinery fit-out and furniture projects, preferably male candidates, to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and substantial experience in cost estimation and contract management specific to joinery and fit-out works.

Key Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor will play a vital role in monitoring project costs and managing commercial risks. Key duties include site visits alongside project engineers and supervisors to take precise measurements and understand client requirements. Preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and prequalification documents forms a core part of this role. You will also be responsible for analyzing castings and BOQs, managing risks and value control measures, and ensuring accurate cost control throughout project execution.

Required Skills and Experience

• A Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with Quantity Surveying specialization is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design software and strong IT skills are essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the joinery fit-out or furniture industry.
• Deep understanding of two and three-dimensional drawings applicable to fit-out projects.
• Ability to assess commercial risks and develop practical cost mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess a solid educational background in engineering (civil or mechanical) coupled with practical knowledge of quantity surveying. Hands-on experience with joinery fit-out projects is required to effectively contribute to project success.
