Job Overview

We are currently seeking an entry-level Purchasing Agent to join our Professional Development Program (PDP) in Riyadh. This role offers hands-on experience in procurement operations with close supervision and is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a career in materials purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will become familiar with purchasing policies and procedures, ensuring all Material Purchase Requests (MPR) are reviewed accurately for compliance and details. You will assist in maintaining inventory checks by coordinating with warehouses and inventory planners. The role involves supporting the preparation of Quotations Requests (QR), managing vendor selections, and processing bid submissions through electronic or manual systems.

Under guidance, you will participate in technical and commercial bid evaluations and help prepare bid summaries and recommendations. You will assist in drafting Purchase Agreements and placing Purchase Orders, ensuring authorization signatures and vendor confirmations are properly obtained.

Additionally, you will help coordinate follow-ups on purchase orders, including liaising with users and suppliers to manage delivery schedules, materials inspection, and receipt processes. Routine clerical tasks such as claims processing and record maintenance fall within your duties, alongside supporting service level agreement tracking and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, ideally related to purchasing or materials management.
  • Good understanding of materials, procurement services, and relevant business terminology.
  • Proficiency in English, with strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Competency in using various business software applications required for the role.
