Job Overview

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for a fresh graduate Indian female eager to start a career in accounting and finance within Bahrain. The position involves supporting sales, revenue recording, payment handling, and maintaining accurate financial records while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for recording daily sales transactions, verifying ticket sales, and maintaining detailed branch-wise sales records. Handling payments is a critical part of the role, which includes processing FAWRI, cash, and bank deposits, reconciling payments against invoices, and monitoring outstanding payments. The role also requires managing customer refunds and credit notes, ensuring processes follow company policies and obtaining necessary approvals.

Invoice management duties include creating and updating invoices, applying credit notes when appropriate, and tracking overdue accounts to ensure timely follow-up. Additionally, the Junior Accountant will prepare daily and monthly financial reports, assist with monthly closures, and reconcile sales data with deposits and FAWRI collections. Monitoring discrepancies and verifying airline balances and BSP reports will be part of the daily routine. Finally, maintaining compliance with internal control procedures and documenting all transactions with proper approvals is essential.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial record keeping
• Attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
• Ability to work with sales and payment systems, including GDS, NDC, and Low-Cost ticket verification
• Good communication skills for coordinating with teams and following up on payments
• Organizational skills to manage multiple financial records and reports
• Proficiency in data entry and invoice management

Requirements

• Educational qualification in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and accounting software familiarity
• Must be willing to comply with company policies on profit, refund, and reissue charges
