Star Services L.L.C is currently seeking a Junior Mechanical Technician to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This role demands a skilled individual with hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting rotating equipment, particularly reciprocating compressors used in refinery or petrochemical industries. Key Responsibilities

The Junior Mechanical Technician will be responsible for conducting breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks. Key duties include replacing bearings, valves, piston components, and lube oil pumps. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to perform corrective maintenance and repairs effectively.

Additional responsibilities include carrying out shaft alignment, lubrication, sealing, and inspection of compressor components. Preparing tools, materials, and spare parts according to maintenance schedules is also essential. The technician will document all maintenance activities, generate reports on equipment performance, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Adhering to safety protocols, hazard analysis, and industry standards such as API and ASME is mandatory, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment throughout maintenance operations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, preferably within refinery or petrochemical sectors.
• Hands-on expertise in overhauling, repairing, and troubleshooting reciprocating compressors and auxiliaries.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical skills including bearing replacement, shaft alignment, and lubrication.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance activities clearly.
• Knowledge of safety systems and compliance with industry standards such as API and ASME.
• Experience using diagnostic tools such as vibration analyzers and pressure gauges.
