Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager with extensive experience leading large-scale construction projects, particularly within secure or military environments. This role involves overseeing contractor activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and managing all aspects of construction supervision from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the construction process, including:

• Providing leadership and coordination for contractor teams to deliver project objectives effectively.
• Overseeing contractor compliance with construction methods, safety regulations, quality assurance, and site security policies.
• Maintaining strong communication with client and contractor representatives regarding project progress, safety, and quality issues.
• Conducting site inspections, reviewing work progress, and preparing payment recommendations along with cost control documentation.
• Organizing and documenting regular progress meetings involving contractors, designers, and owners to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Administering construction contracts and managing changes as necessary during the project lifecycle.
• Supporting bid evaluations, including technical specifications, cost and schedule analysis, risk assessment, and constructability reviews.
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and third parties to meet project goals.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 15 years of proven experience managing complex construction projects and teams.
• In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, especially in defence or military infrastructure projects, with preference for US Army facility experience.
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills combined with a flexible, collaborative approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and familiarity with construction management software tools.
• Capability to work independently as well as integrate with larger project teams.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to various client environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant construction management certifications such as Site Management and Safety Training or equivalent qualifications.
