Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Project Engineer with expertise in Food Service Equipment (FSE) and commercial kitchen projects for a key role in Bahrain. This position involves managing all aspects of project execution, from initial design through to final handover, ensuring seamless delivery for high-profile commercial kitchen installations. The successful candidate will oversee technical drawings, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure adherence to local safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will take full ownership of project delivery including:

• Leading and managing the complete project lifecycle for foodservice equipment installations.
• Developing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for equipment procurement.
• Collaborating closely with consultants, architects, and clients to finalize design specifications and technical requirements.
• Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and accurate delivery and installation of equipment.
• Monitoring project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to maintain efficient progress.
• Ensuring compliance with local health, fire, and safety codes throughout the project duration.
• Conducting on-site inspections, managing snag lists, and preparing thorough handover documentation.
• Providing technical support during tendering processes and procurement activities.
• Mentoring junior engineers and support staff to promote team development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of practical experience in handling commercial kitchen equipment projects within the GCC region.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
• Proven track record in managing projects end-to-end, including design, BOQ preparation, installation supervision, commissioning, and final handover.
• Excellent project management and site supervision capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate among diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with internationally recognized kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• Exposure to projects within hospitality sectors, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchens is highly desirable.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
