Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Project Engineer with extensive experience in commercial kitchen projects to join our team in Bahrain. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in mechanical engineering and a strong track record managing food service equipment installations from start to finish. The successful candidate will oversee project execution while ensuring compliance with technical standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will take full ownership of commercial kitchen equipment projects, including:

• Leading all phases of project execution, from design through to installation and handover.
• Preparing technical drawings, layouts, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for equipment.
• Collaborating effectively with consultants, architects, clients, suppliers, and contractors to confirm design and technical specifications.
• Monitoring project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
• Conducting site inspections to manage snag lists and oversee quality control.
• Ensuring all installations comply with local health, fire safety, and other regulatory standards.
• Providing technical support during tendering and procurement activities.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting project staff to strengthen team capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience managing commercial kitchen equipment projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawing and design.
• Comprehensive understanding of project execution including design, BOQ preparation, installation, commissioning, and handover process.
• Strong skills in site supervision and project management.
• Excellent communication abilities to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working in the GCC region is mandatory.
• Familiarity with international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or equivalent credentials is considered an advantage.
• Background in hospitality, food and beverage chains, hospital kitchen setups, or central kitchen projects is highly desirable.
