Job Overview

A prominent bank in Abu Dhabi is urgently seeking a seasoned Risk Architect with extensive experience in banking IT, specializing in the Enterprise Risk domain. This role demands a professional with a thorough understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory standards, and hands-on experience with key banking risk systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the design and architecture of risk systems, ensuring seamless integration across multiple banking applications. Responsibilities include identifying data gaps, mapping system attributes, and creating detailed architectural documentation to guide development and testing teams. The role also involves working closely with systems such as FIS, Moody’s RiskConfidence, Archer, and Clari5 to support enterprise fraud management and risk reporting.

Required Skills and Expertise

• 12 to 15 years of professional experience focused on banking IT within the Enterprise Risk domain.
• Strong knowledge of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory compliance, and Basel reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in implementing FIS solutions, with the ability to identify and resolve data gaps and familiarity with the FIS data model.
• Experience in integrating banking applications with Enterprise Fraud Management Systems (EFMS), such as Clari5.
• In-depth understanding of risk domain data needs, covering regulatory standards like IFRS9 and Basel, along with internal MIS reporting.
• Familiarity with core banking systems such as T24, TI+, Eximbills, and Murex, specifically regarding risk data mapping to various risk management platforms.
• Hands-on experience with risk systems including FIS, Moody’s RiskConfidence, Archer, and Clari5 is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

The candidate must be capable of preparing comprehensive design and architectural artifacts, which will serve as foundational documents for development and testing teams. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential to effectively capture complex risk architectures.
